Race Header Questions
**** all this emisssions ****. Thankfully I don't have to worry about that down here in sofla. I got stopped once for a loud exhaust (open headers) and I told the officer the welds on my cats (no cats) and y-pipebroke off earlier today and im driving to an exhaust shop lmao
I've seen shops refuse to even work on mufflers on cars that don't have cats.
(but gladly offer to sell you new cats and install them)
One of the Muffler Shops around town here gives everyone that has no Cats ****.. I had to get a quick fix on something, and he wouldn't do it. Then told me that he was going to give my Plate # to the Cops cause I had no Cats.
That was 2 years ago an several pull-overs since then, I haven't heard anything.
Some places have different Emissions Testing for 1995 and back cause of the OBDI. If I ever get it done I'll just tell them mine was converted to OBDII and they can just scan it without popping the Hood..

I doubt any shop will care about the lack of EGR and AIR, and barely any care about cats.

Yeah you should be fine with no emmisions most cops and shops don't really seem to care, if a shop cared just don't go there. But really it's all up to you on taking the chance , I've been fine for 2+ years running no emmisions.
If a shop gives you crap for it, tell them to shove it. There is nothing they can do.. Tell them you bought it that way and know nothing about cars. With no emission check in your area seriously, just go long tubes/ory.
