I think my clutch disc exploded
anyway after i missed the gear i heard the sound from hell as i saw the tach jump above 6k and after that i felt vibration which was pretty bad i thought i threw a rod at first
i got pulled over turned the car off and heard **** flying around coming from presumably the bellhousing and the clutch didn't feel right at all
I restarted that car very briefly after pulling over and as soon as i saw i had full oil pressure i shut it down
My question is how likely is it that my clutch disc exploded at 6000+ rpm vibrated the hell out of my engine and didn't do any damage to the engine?
In a couple days i'm going to tear it apart and i'll have to post pics of the carnage

I would get a new bell housing, its already been stressed and probably has fractures in it that you can't see. That would also scare me enough to get a bell housing blanket as well. I don't know about you , but I like having feet, and that could've been much worse.

the bellhousing is actually cracked very slightly in two different areas which the shop also said wouldn't be a problem. Hopefully it wont be a problem, stock bellhousings are hard to find for these cars and im definitely not ready to spend the cash on an aftermarket one right now

. After I saw that mess I was glad I had a Lakewood scattershield. The pilot bushing i believe was stock and had already pregnated all of the oil it was originally impregnated with

the bushing therefore was warn beyond belief with far too much clearance causing the input shaft on the tranny to have a little too much free reign
I dont think i missed third as previously thought, i believe that once i dropped the clutch after hitting third gear the clutch disc contacted the the outside of the pressure plate causing all this mess
anyway new clutch is in, i put in a stock replacement for now since money is an issue, i'll be out of college soon and will hopefully have much more money to mess around with
