^^X2..maybe that on a Stroker Engine..

On BMR's Website they claim the complete AC System to weigh about 100lbs..those of us that have taken that out know that's no where near true.

I voted MAC. I liked them when I had them, I just outgrew them and had to step up to longtubes. I think that my car picked up 22 rwhp on the same dyno going from stock (except Moroso CAI) to MAC mids, no catalytic converter, and the shitty flowmaster after cat, and that was untuned.

Ok figured out the difference with the Macs and the Pacesetters. After talking to Mac today their advertised gains for the dual cat style mids are 20-25rwhp but that is using their ORY. Where as if I mated their headers up to 2 stock convertors the gains would be more like 8-13rwhp, which is the same gain range pacesetter quoted me using the stock cats.

Moral being since I am planning on keeping the stock cats until I can get some high flow ones to replace them with...the gains will be close to the same with either set of headers.

Even with their ORY you will not see those gains with a set of mids. Like I said before, you'd be lucky to get those kind of gains with long tubes. The headers will give you pretty much the exact same gains.

The Macs won't keep the engine bay as cool though, as it doesn't have ceramic coating.

If the Macs are stainless steel though, they'll last a long, long time.

Neither suck it up and get LT. I live in an area with bad roads. Its better. I promise. Ask around not many people in here have had bad experiences with long tubes. But thats just my two cents on that.

I have pacesetter LT's and I don't see how anyone could have ground clearance issues with them. Go LT's and catless Y pipe and you'll gain more power and love it. Plus they come with a copper gasket so there's no need to buy gaskets.

Unless Mac has changed their design and coating they will rust through rather quickly. I am not familiar with the pace setters. You might try looking at AS&M's mid length. I made about 5 more hp with those over the macs, then moved to long tubes and made about 10 over those. Depending on whose long tubes you go with, you get about the same clearance as the mid lengths.
