Default my "where does this go" thread

Still trying to figure out why my scanner is not getting any power from the ALDL port under the steering wheel. Cigarette lighter fuse is good and lighter works. I was checking around back there and found this random plug: Is this supposed to plug into the back of it, or is it completely unrelated. Can anyone identify it?:

Also, I have two 12v sources on my consle (cigarette lighter, and regular 12v power supply.

However, 12v is not plugged in as you can see, and i can't seem to find the wiring for it anywhere.

Near it i found this blue plug though. What does this go to?
Maybe transmission related i dont know

Can anyone help me out with these two plugs? Thanks guys

And I have to counter with "If it ain't broke... TWEAK IT!"

His is 'broke' though. As he stated, he isn't getting power/signal from his ALDL. Which is a problem, and if he actually DOES have a system problem, he can't even check it.

I can't offer any advice on where those go, but have you check to see if the ALDL port's wiring trace to that mystery plug? Have you tested the ALDL's pins for power and ground?

That second power plug looks aftermarket, to me at least. If they came as an option, I just don't know about it is all

MTBSULLY, what problem were you having that led you to attempt to scan the car?? I'm looking at the first connector that you asked where does it go, and in my book if I'm looking at this correctly it looks like the wires are BLK, DK Blu and GRY. I'm reading those as being for your TPS BLK= Sensor Ground, DK Blu= TP Sensor Signal and GRY= 5 Volt Reference. Seems odd to me though, hope I'm not reading this wrong, I'll take a picture when I get home for you.

well i just got the car and it came with a bunch of cables (one that allows me to hook into my laptop, and the other that allows me to hook up to my scanner), and i wanted to jook up the scanner to see if any codes showed up. But the scanner never powered up. I'll have to look into this more when i get back for chrismas break on the 10th
