Kooks LT what oil filter to use?

Changed oil today before putting car away for winter, snowing like hell 5" on ground more to come tonight! I just did build last spring, I changed oil and filter at 100 miles. I put 800 miles on car this summer when I went to take off fram filter the paint was burned off one side near header! not good I do not have factory oil cooler. Should I relocate filter or is this normal? I did a search and see some guys are running AC PF454, does this filter give more clearance for header?

I run the Kooks stepped 1 3/4-1 7/8" headers and I use the AC PF454...Its a nice shorter filter and gives you good clearance all the way around...

When I originally bought my car, it had the k/n large filter on it, in the first oil change I put a pf454 on it, it fits great, good ground clearance and with the canton oil pan, it works quite well.
