well basically i took a gen1 alt. bracket (the J shaped one) and lengthened it. You need to do that cause the dia. of our alt. is bigger then any other alt. Thats bout it, just do that and get your spacing right. The turn buckle on the outside is to stiffin it up so it doesnt flex (did it when i didnt have it on) and to help tighen it and keep it tight.

yeah, gotta get it installed and take some pics, so i guess i wont be able to hear your car in person anytime soon then, now that you are without the brackets. Were you able to get a picture of how you connected your power steering lines? Did you need to buy a connector or anything?

Thats a pretty nifty setup you got there and easy to make... just i dont want to loose my PS is the only thing. im sure someone will replicate one with the PS still intact and not as pricey as they are now.

Seems like the only people I see talking down about larger cams with stock heads are on LS1tech.com. Nothing wrong with the GM847 or CC306 on stock heads. And you do not have to spin it as high as internet trolls tell you that you do. Seen lots of CC306 cars doing well shifting @ 6300-6400 at the track.

yup, got mine shifting at 6600 and runs REAL good. And you have a point about the people saying that. Mostly its the people who bench race and dont have a clue. Im one of the very few who say its works from EXPERIANCE!! lol

I agree to a extent, but if you do it right it has the "badass race car look" but i agree some look stupid. You can fully gut them and put carpet and some interior parts back in and stil look 100% stock and weigh under 3k still. But t each there own. And my car is gutting in the vid cause its going to get the cage in 2 weeks so i had to gut everything.

yea did some more work on the interior. Cutted out more brackets etc. Should be taking it this weekend to get the cage done. PA cromoly k-member is on its way, trying to find some cromoly upper and lower a-arms to finish off the front. When it comes back from the cage the whole front end is coming apart to get all re-done. Cutting off fender supports, frame horms, hood brackets etc. Then going through the wire harness and "gutting" that from the wires i dont need and mounting the PCM inside the car.

Nice, I want to mount the PCM inside also, no issues with doing that? Cant wait to see the car once you get the cage and whatever is left of the interior back in. I need some ideas! I want to hear that car in person. I think i'm gonna go with the 847 cam also along with a 150 shot and see how far that will take me on this block.

btw, im attempting to mount the alternator in the car right now, provided the wind doesnt try and slam the hood on me again came inside to check that pic so i know how everything went.

Ive done some weight reduction to mine but is still on the heavy side 3,275 with the six point bar and th400 12 bolt but I haven't done bumper supports or door bars and a lot of other little stuff. I would love to get down to 2,900 lbs I just don't know if I want to go that far.

Taubr Unit I would like to check out your car ever go to Byron ?
