Default rim question backspacing

centerline makes a telstar 15x10 with a 7 inch backspacing. has anybody tried this wheel and will it fit? i know i read that 15x10 requires 7.5 inches of back spacing, but if i'm correct the wheels will just stick out 1/2 inch further. they should still fit without any problems?

i don't know what size tire yet, i want to buy these but i want to make sure that i am not making a mistake. it really don't matter what size tires because these are going to be my street wheels and whatever tires i go with there not going to give me enough traction to make my rear squat that low to rub the tires. my slicks are mounted on other wheels.

i have been told that the 15x8 telstars fit with out grinding, with the LT1 brakes. why would the 15x10 rub the calipers

I don't know first hand, but from what I've read here, I believe it's a question of rim diameter, and possibly the shape of the backside of the rim's center, not rim width that is the problem...
