before the hood comes and you get your dzus fasteners (order two kits from summit of the harwood dzus/plates) you have to do these things in order to get prepared...

1. take a week off of work
2. Get a massage
3. Get a pedicure
4. attend stress management classes
5. workout on a punching bag
6. take another week off of work
7. take anything sharp in your house and get rid of it. Anything you can stab yourself with or gore someone else with
8. Lose credit cards and any loose cash enough to buy a plane ticket to harm someone
9. Quit your job
10. Lastly but not least remove any firearms that you have access to

at this point you can begin installation of the hood. Your stress levels will be very low which is good cause over the next three weeks or so had you not done the 10 above steps you would have most likely impaled yourself on a fork, blown your head off with a 12 gauge, or traveled to your work to kill your coworkers... Oh btw, step 11 is to have someone else remove coil wires from all of your vehicles so you can't go anywhere on a 3 state killing spree....

just wanted to put that out there.... when you're ready I'll send you some pictures. i just won't tell you where I live....
in the top ten......i have every thing and can do everthing, but. i dont have a punching bag.......will the ex wife work....................................

If you can get the rails get em.... they will make it easier.... I can't say all the pain will go away but it will make the process easier. You will still have to do something for the front but i have some pics I can share with you for what I did for the front.....

I wanted to get the wide non extended pin on. That puch looks like it would help a ton and it's only $2. Make sure you post up pictures when you get it installed.

alright man. i hooked ya up. Other pics that I had didn't really focus good on the dzus... my dig camera freaked out so i took these on my Iphone and emailed them to myself... so here they are so you can get an idea what I did on the side and especially in the front which required some fab work.... You cannot put these dzus plates on the front bumper on the inside. Number one the fiberglass area there is way too thin with no backing at all. The screws have nothing to hold and they will rip out of the fiberglass. It also isn't tall enough. the narrow nose area where teh hood sits isn't tall enough to allow the bracket to sit there with the 1/8" drop it's supposed to have (so that the hood sits level with the nose)... The hood is about an 1/8" thick so if the bracket is an 1/8" lower then the hood will sit flush. so what i did is go to home depot and buy a bunch of small bendable L-brackets and a bunch of hardware. Then I bolted the brackets to the thick fiberglass that the nose attaches to. Plenty thick and sturdy. To make the proper angle I just bent the brackets forward a bit. You can see they kinda slope toward the nose. The hood is not completely flat so the bracket underneath it needs to be leaning a bit. Otherwise the pin will not engage the dzus fastener bracket underneath.... you'll get an idea with these pics.... You can also see where my purge comes out in the first pic as a bonus... I have it purging from there on both sides of the front quarterpanels...

That would be great. It's time my car lost a few lbs. Some of the weight lose will be free and some will cost a few bucks.

I said it in the 3" SS thread, I love how those hoods look (the one you have). I'm really not a huge fan of the Camaro, but that makes me like it!
