Wrong shift rpm
Wrong shift rpm Datalogged the car this past week for the first time and discovered the car is shifting between 6125-6250... it was supposed to be tuned to shift @ 6500. How much do you guys think this could be hurting my et shifting so low? Time in sig
If the cam is still making power/pulling then it'll make a decent amount of difference. Considering when you are "short shifting" each shift your rpm's are dropping into lower rpm's than it would typically and at lower rpm's you're not making as much power so you'll be making more power all the way through the pass. If that makes any sense...Like say you make 400rwhp at 6500 rpm's and 385 at 6200..then when you shift from 6200rpm it drops to (i'm an m6 w/stock gears so i'm just throwing out random #'s for example) 5000rpm where you're making 355rwhp. Compared to you shifting at 6500rpm and when it shifts drops to 5300rpm making 365rwhp... lol just my little scenario as how I see the situation..
