Is there a part number on the end of the cam? That is the only way you will find out unless you send it somewhere to get spect.

Im not sure, but i thought even the stock cam had some kind of number on the end of it, maybe someone else will chime in.
You probably wont ever find out what kind of springs you have, but if your going through the trouble of rebuilding the motor id definitly put new ones in. Did it have roller rockers or stock stamped rockers?
Im just wondering why someone would use a stock cam in a motor with pp heads.

Chances are good it's a GM cam. I'm looking at my old stocker right now. Look before the first lobe at the front of the cam (by the dowel pin). If you see the phrase GMPT BC 15 242 it's a stock cam.
