Default im stuck between choosing

What would be a more better choice a 93 or a 94 camaro. And by better i mean in terms of tuning, buying parts, maintenance, etc.Ive got 2 cars on the horizon of buying soon. There both automatics if that matters. My overall goal of the car is gonna be a street/strip car running in the low 11's/high 10's with most of the power coming from a procharger, proper camshaft and stall converter. Thanks

Do you have emissions in ur state? if so then i would say go with a 96-97 cause they are obdII and they just plug in at the emissions testing place. Also they have a better opti spark its vented and works better. But if thats not an issue i have heard the 93 has more problems then the 94. I have a 94 z28 with an auto. Hopefully more people can chime in with more facts.

94 ALL THE WAY. You can re-flash the computer for your tunes. The 93 requires a new chip to be burned every time. There are a few peculiarities of the 93 which are unique to that year, but the computer is THE BIGGIE.

I was thinking... "he's got a 94 so stick up for them"

I've tried and tried to find a bolt on 93 to race..can't find one anywhere.

I believe the main reason for the 93 being a hair faster (and I almost literally mean, by a hair) is a bit due to it's batch fire, simply because you are getting a bit more fuel. Which is why SFI in 94+ have a bit better economy. That and the M6's (although a bit weaker, or much weaker depending on what M6) had a much more aggressive gearing.

And while I love my 93, I will fully admit that had I known the difference in the years, I'd have gone with a 94. Yet after knowing now, 95 would be my choice since it's still OBD1 and has vented Opti.
