Default Borla mufflers?

I was looking for a used Borla or Corsa muffler to throw in my car, and came across a "Borla" setup that looks like a normal F-body muffler (single in, dual out).
Did borla ever make a normal muffler or is this a knock-off? (poor picture below)

Im pretty sure they made a normal muffler, i saw one at summit and it was cheaper than the adjustable one.

Yeah,
I'm waiting for better pictures (you can see the borla on the tips, but nothing on the muffler).
I'm looking for lots of flow, but quiet and no drone (not asking too much!).

Would I be better off with the adjustable borla system or the standard style muffler (as pictured above)?

I remember they make a transverse muffler for a certain model jeep that would fit our f-bodys.

Yep. I used to have one. It was loud and sounded good but nothing compared to the catback.

So you're saying the adjustable system is better than just using a borla replacement muffler with tips?

The adjustable has a cutout going into the muffler so basically it will flow a lot more than the muffler. If you are looking for quiet though, id stay away from the borla and go for magnaflow.

+1 on the Magnaflow. Real quiet for a while before the fibers start breaking down. It has a very modest and decent tone with it too.

Really?
I had a borla catback in a 95 5.0 mustang and it was REAL quiet. (totally different application I know, but I figured it would be similar...)

I just want something that isn't obnoxious and doesn't drone - I really hate the raspy cheap sound the flowmaster on my car makes.

i just put an adjustable borla on my 97 ta. At first it had no restrictor so its very loud with a ORY and LTs, and i really didnt like all of the sound coming out of the passenger side. So i made a restrictor b/c i bought it used and it came open. It quitened it down some but it still has that open exh sound out the pass side. I dont like the way it sounds idling but it sounds right sexy going down the road and at WOT. If ur looking for quitness i wouldnt recommend it. Go with a Hooker or Magnaflow.

I'm looking at a borla bolt in muffler for $100, or a cat-back adjustable for $200. (+ shipping)
Not sure what a magnaflow would run (I wouldn't use their tips though. If I replace my stock T/A tips it would only be with borla or corsa tips.) So that would add a little bit to the cost.

Dude even if you dont want to keep the borla 200 dollars is a steal, you need yo grab that thing and you could make money off of it. Magnaflow new is around 350-450 i believe depending on where you get it.

I guess the deals were too good to be true. Both guys flaked out and never followed through... I think I'm gonna go with the Magnaflow.

Anyone have some Borla or Corsa tips they want to part with for $50 or less?
