Default valve spring ?'s

My friend has a 93 LT1 motor in his 79 cutlas and he thinks he's losing some power up high in his revs due to worn valve springs what do ya think? also can he use my ls1 valve springs?

cant use the ls1 springs, how many miles? stock motor?

I think he's got about 60k on it. Stock internals. He's worried that since he put in a 3.73 rear With only an old 4 speed that his motor has been reving to much, but he's only put about 3k on the motor with these gears.

if he hasnt raised the rev limiter then he has nothing to worry about, gears wont cause the springs to wear out, its lift and duration that cause springs to wear out....more so lift than duration, and if he hasnt raised his rev limiter and has the stock cam, then there is really no extra strain on the springs.

well we fixed it. Turned out to be his fuel pump. THis car has a carb and the pump he had put on wasn't flowing enough. Thanks
