Default Nitrous addicts step inside....

My buddy just picked up a 96 trans am. He is a firm believer in the "pill it till u kill it" saying. How much can he spray this car with without a rod or piston slapping him in the face? He is limited on money and the only thing he has is a nitrous kit,and I gave him a converter for christmas.

Mileage? I would run 150 if the tune and AFR is dead on.

i was told by alot of people on here to play it safe and go with 150 shot i agree with them 150 percent anything more your going to be walking on thin ice but if he has the money to build another motor after he blows it up then spray a 200 shot im going to go with 150 shot and save up for a better build that can handle more spray

Im spraying my car with a 100 and it runs fine. What about using a helper pump? I know it helps on 5liter mustangs but no clue about lt1s.

Nitrous outlet brand x kit $360
FPSS $50
Mallory 685 $250
Tr6 plugs $20

That's bare bones right there. And with that I'd be afraid to spray 150

You might want to look into a Racetronix fuel pump as well

I did a 175 FWHP for a while on my stock engine with 140,000 miles on it, But i also had a 1400 nitrous system not including the price of the wideband, and it did eventually spin a rod bearing. While i wasn't spraying it when it went im sure the nitrous didn't help any either. Don't play if you cant pay.

i agree completely, why would he want to go any higher than you are already spraying? does he just simply want to beat you? cause i'd say stay safe with the 100 shot otherwise he is just asking for problems. and if he doesnt have alot of money to invest in nitrous, how is he gunna pay for a rebuilt motor?

I've sprayed several bottles of 125 and 150 on my car on stock tune, stock motor, stock pump with TR6 plugs. It's now tuned and getting a Racetronix fuel pump soon. Has not been sprayed on my new tune, but still will not see anything higher than a 150.
