Default LT1 to Vortec 350 (HELP!!!)

Hey guys, I need some help in finding out if this can be done or not. I am looking at a 94 Z28 camaro with the LT1 and but before I buy it I want to know if you can put a 98 vortec in with a carburetor and the HEI distributor. What has to be done: fuel lines, will the trans bolt up, can I still use the puter for trans and guages? Just wondering if its more trouble than its worth. Thanks...............Wheats

I wouldn't for many reasons. One it would be cheaper all the way around to keep the LT1 in it and Mod away at it.Along with the suspension.A lot Cheap Thrills there

It can be done, but you'll lose horsepower and gain weight. About 50 pounds worth of weight with the iron heads.

The LT1 that is in the car has a broke crank and cracked block. I have a vortec that is built for nitrous. The vortec heads are great flowing heads and I should have plenty of power with the mods I have done. The motor was originally built to go into a S10 but I ran upon this little Z and just thought it would be a better choice.

Yes, it can be done. Your best bet is to post this in the conversion section.
