They just did an episode of HorsePower where they showed the difference of a solid lifter cam vs. hyd lifter. The solid lifter made more power all the way thru the spectrum, but the hyd lifter made way more torque down low and is more ideal for a street motor. Given this was on a 454 not our 350's, but you get the idea. One thing to remember is with a solid lifter valve train adjustment (rockers) is mandatory and you will be doing it around ever 3K miles and with Hyd. that's not the case - just set it and forget. Good luck!!

Im all about a SR being that my car is NOT a daily driver and the pros outweigh the cons.
Pro-You'll make more power than a Solid cam with same setup
Pro-Stable Valvetrain
Pro-More broader power curve.
Pro-More power under the curve.
Pro-Most of the time you end up buyingbetter parts knowing you have SR.
Pro=knowing you have the ability to rev the car to the moon and feel good about it.
