It's going for big bucks. It'll be interesting to see what the ending bid is.

The term "bowtie" block is meant to designate blocks that were cast with a beefier design (thicker sidewall, etc.), more material for over boring and stroking.

I saw that not long ago on there. It would be badass to have a 427 LT1. I just wish I could afford it.

Very cool. I had no idea that any 4.120 bore LT1 blocks ever existed.

Wish I could find and afford two-one to build, and one to save as a collectable.

It's gauranteed that at least a couple are collecting dust being stored and forgotten somewhere.

I've seen one of those sold before, but it was a long time ago. It would definetly be something super nice to have. You'd have an advantage right away over everyone else.

i dont think dohc heads would be possible with an LT1/4 block. I would think you need and LT5 block.

WOW, that's a cool block!

With a 4.120 bore, assuming it's a siamesed bore block, boring to 4.155, you'd get a 434 cubic inch motor if you could squeeze in a 4 inch stroke crank. Grinding at the pan rails for clearance might hit oil.

GM's sportsman blocks are spec'ed to a 4.155 max bore.

Why do you even both bidding on items before the last minute they are done? All you are doing is jacking up the price. With that note when I just checked it the price was at 2075 and the reserve was still not met.
