cold startup problem...HELP
cold startup problem...HELP Im posting this for a buddy of mine that has a 93 z28. When the car is cold and it is cold outside the car has a hard time starting. The tach acts crazy and the car sputters and backfires. Once the car gets warmed up it runs just fine. Any clues as to what this could be?

Battery is brand new, as well as a new fuel filter. The car had been sitting for a while if that makes a difference. He could not get it to start this morning. It turns over, but never started. It has an aftermarket coil on it also.
