Metal intake elbow?

Maybe I'm nuts but, I though trick flow made a plastic elbow in the same shape and size as the aluminum ones... Might have been another company. I cant seem to find anything like that with a few searches right now. Did I imagine this? I have a black aluminum version and am happy with it. I never did check the IAT now vs. when I had the rubber one though. ??? oh well...
Also, is it a good idea to move the IAT lower in the intake? I mean, its job is to read the temp for accurate adjustments so, the closer it is to the intake the more accurate the temp of the air its burning is. I could be wrong but it mainly affects your timing, right? Would probably be easier to wire in a resistor instead of extending and moving it. eh, just my two cents.
