Default cam ?

i have been lookin at loyed's 232/240 cam and was wonderin if that be to much cam for my stock bottem end. I will be sprayin the car with atleast a 100 shot on top of that. what do yall guys think. to much or just right. goals are to be in the 10's

It's Llyod's cam, I'd give him a call and go over your set-up plans and hp goals in detail with him.

+2..that cam alone should be ok on a well maintained car. With the juice is another story. No telling how the bottom will react.

that cam and i would guess a 125 shot should get you real close to your goal. not sure how long the stock shortblock will last like that though.

I doubt lloyd would recommend that cam on a stock bottom end, but since it is his cam I suggest asking him, lol.

i was saying that the cam you asked about should work with maybe a little more nitrous. our cars were set-up very similar and running close to the same times, N/A. my times in sig are with a custom grind. pm me details on my set-up if you would like.

there isn't much out there bigger than the cc503 that is more efficient with stock heads

big cams don't neccessarily = big gains

yea i agree. i am planning on going with ported heads or aftermarkets heads this summer. i just dont have the $ right now. sorry should have posted that earlier. i just would like to get in the 6's if possible with only a cam swap. i feel like i can pick up 4ths with a cam swap and drag lites and slicks. raither than the 16's with radials. mayb i dreamin tho. lol
