hope this is simple, what I have is a 94 LT1 in a 72 Chevy 1/2 ton. the truck originally had power steering. when I put the LT1 in the truck I used a 94 corvette P/S pump. the hoses are installed in my opinion correctly. can someone tell me what directing does the p/s pully run? CCW?. I have the serpentine belt routed correctly in my opinion (opinions are like ##sHoles I know) but the power steering is not working, I read on another forum about using ATF in the pump, reservoir, is this correct or is the fluid power steering fliud correct to use

atf fuild is fine i run it in my 96 ta pwrsteering i think the pump runs counter clock wise when looking from the front of the motor i hope this help.

It runs CCW. I have always just used power steering fluid in my power steering pump...it's what its made for. It could be a bad rack or a bad pump, assuming you are not leaking any fluid.

i`ve run ATF since i got my ta ti has 210,000 miles no leaks and never have replaced any pwr steering componet.
