Bumper drag on a 150 shot!
Yeah i let off it felt like some one *** ended me lol, the suspension is all tunular rod end stuff, wolf sway bar, BMR full length TA, me and a buddy fabbed up our own crossmember for it, QA1's on all corners, stock rear springs, 28"x10" tire. The car with me in it is 3285#
gotta stay in it to win it with those wheel stands, stop providing power to the rear tires and that thing will slam down like a sling shot
that is definately the most bitchin' video I've seen in a long time tho lol

Wow ...glad to hear (you and) the pan was ok. Hell of a show though.
flipping awesome.... you jacked up pretty much what I bent as well when I did my last wheelstand...... Mine didn't hurt the headers other than dinged em.... didn't touch the pan or the transpan..... bent my steering rack tho.....
looks like you need some of what I just bought.... wheelies are fun but if you're losing races or it's costing you thousands in repair then it's not so fun...

Don't worry Tony ill be good to go for the shootout!!
Nice, who made those?? Wolf, Madman??
Something I noticed about your video is when it hits the bumper it kinda turns the car.... That is why staying in it like that can be so dangerous.... When I did my nasty bumper dragger in sac I felt the cars rear tires unload and knew it was time to get out of it.... I would HATE to see what would happen if you hit the side barrier with the car in the air like that... It would get real ugly real quick..... you'd be looking at the very least a completely totalled car.....
I plan on taking my wheelie bars off for the modified power adder class at the LT shootout.... by then i'll have the suspension dialed enough to be able to run without them if need be...
These were custom made from a Chris Alston's Chassiworks universal kit.... you can make them up to 80" long from this kit and cut them down if need be... These are 65" roughly and were custom done by G&B Fabrication in Woodland CA.... He also cut out my trunk and raised the floor allowing my clearance for my fuel pump under there and bar clearance.... didn't have to even coem close to hitting the bumper or having to notch the bumper,etc.... the full set of pics are in here in the LT1 section as well....

Couldn't you just add 20 lbs or so to the nose to control the wheelie a bit?
Couldn't you just add 20 lbs or so to the nose to control the wheelie a bit
point is, is that getting the wheelies to stop takes more time and passes to control it. and everyone of those passes you're taking a risk that you could damage the car further. it's like russian roulette.... We were trying to reduce power off the line to kill the wheelstands. We also discussed weight up front..... we're still talking adding weight up front even with the bars there.... Now I can leave on full power and bring the spray up to 100% WAY faster than I was before. The bars will just ensure our testing/tuning doesn't end up in a tragedy...
did u wheelie guys keep the battery up front or relocate it to the rear? i think keeping the battery in the front could help at least a little with weight distribution without adding more weight to ur car...
