LT1 is a SBC with the exception of a few technical differences. 90% of GEN I items will work on the GEN II (LT1) either directly or with some work. So whatever work has to be done to the SBC for shaft mount, will be the same for the LT1s. I think it'd be cool to run them My 64 Ford Jeep's engine has them, non-roller tip of course though.

The valve spacing is slightly different than SBC's which is why people run into valvetrain geometry issues with sbc guide plates. I'm not sure if this is relevant with shaft mount rockers, but I would check with someone who has experience with LT1 valvetrains before spending the money on shaft mounts.

I was unaware of their difference, since RRs aren't specifically designed for LT1s. After all, the people who run NSA RR's are using just that, SBC rockers. And I was under the impression you fix geometry by changing pushrod length. Hell, you can even use LS1 rockers, as people have proven, but there is a more prominent geometry change and pushrods are almost a must if you want true 1.7
