People run that cam with stock heads, so why would you want to run it with ported ones? LT4 heads are a lot better than stock and yours are getting ported which "should" make them better still. You can go a lot bigger on the cam selection.

Why don't you take everyone's word for it and just pick up a custom grind? Isn't that why you started this thread? For opinions?

The cam that I have in the video clip has since been pulled for something a bit suited to my build (Surprise! A custom grind! ). It's a comp XE grind, 236/242 .555/.576 on a 112LS. It made decent power, but I'm in the midst of a rebuild and am talking an alternate route.

For a custom grind, head over to www.advancedinduction.com or http://www.elliottsportworks.com. Give either one a call, explain what you have, and they will supply you with the cam best for your application, hands down.

You seem to have some misinformation going on here.

The LT4 acronym only applies to parts that will bolt onto an LT1-shortblock. LT4 parts include LT4 heads, intake, valve covers, valvetrain components (springs, rockers, hardware), and camshaft. So your question "will LT1 heads fit on an LT4" doesn't make too much sense. At least now you know.

LT4 heads will only work with an LT4 manifold, but they will happily bolt onto any LT1 short-block. You cannot use an LT1 manifold with LT4 heads, or vice versa.

You missed some of my information.

There is no such thing as an LT4 bottom end. It is only the valvetrain package. We all had to learn at one point, so no big deal. The LE2 is a good well-matched combo. You will want to make exactly sure of what you're buying. Chances are if the guy you're buying this block from is marketing it as an LT4, he's full of crap.

400hp will only come from full bolt ons, some nicely worked heads and a custom grind cam built for power.

Dude...everything in my posts tells you what the LT4 package is. The acronym "LT4" has NOTHING to do with the block or rotating assembly.

What, are you asking, is an LT4?

Well as long as its a 4 bolt main i will probably buy it and have him re build it and get the le2 setup to go on it. Thanks

All you need to make sure is that it is an LT1 block.

Technically, all Corvette blocks were 4-bolt, whether it was in a 96 Grand Sport or not.
