Default which lt1 header gaskets?

wat headers gaskets is every1 using.. i was thinking copper or the fel pro 1s u can can get at a auto parts store?

Copper gaskets are the way to go. Never once had any issues with them.

im gonna redo the motor in the fall will the fel pro ones last the summer?

are the 5903 the thick graphite, i think, ones? was told they werent making them anymore. thats why i went with the percys aluminum this time around. they sealed well. couldnt get the copper ones to seal at all though, but that was years ago.

All I've ever used are the Felpro 1406s. Very reliable, and the "hooks" on the ends are nice to hold the gasket in place when bolting it down.

i really like the copper gaskets,no problems at all,just make sure you get the D-port gaskets....
yeah those tabs really help you out especially on the passenger side

That is what I have used for many years. The best out there in my opinion. Make sure and re-tighten bolts after a couple of heat cycles.

I too use the Percys. I always have. On my LT I used the Percy's 2000 degree ones, they are made out of a felt like material. They work awesome. No leaks except when the header bolts loosen up a bit.
