Arrow The Ultimate Guide to the Chevy 383 Stroker

Well I decided to post this which is good info from car craft magazine that I had purchased awhle back ago and learn some pretty good info from reading this article, It shows everything you need to know about building a 383, well most of it. The build is on a carb SBC, aint that much of a difference i think on a SBC and LT1. It shows the difference in:
http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles...evy/index.html
The Origin Of The Species
Stroke Stuffing
Internal Vs. External Balance
Two-Piece Vs. One-Piece Seals
Internal Clearancing
Compression Lessons
Rod Length
I Beam Vs. H beam
Rotator Packages
Mild To Wild Engine Combos ranging from mild 412hp-wild 570hp

and it shows and gives examples on combos and what kind of power they produce on a engine dyno.
Combo A, B, and C
If some else decides to chime in and think i missed something(which i know i probably did) go ahead and add whatever you think i missed.
I just decided to add this since some people always ask about building a 383, from what bore to what kind or rods, etc. etc. Well I hope some peeps learn something from this article beacuse I did catch somethings I didn't know in the past

Where was that article 6 months ago before I figured out what I was getting myself into? LOL
Lots of good into in the article ... not necessarily LT1-specific, but most of the rules still apply.
Thanks for sharing.
