Default vortech or procharger

i am thinking of rebuilding my LT1 with mild mods so that i can make sure that i can pass emisions, so i am thinking of going with a supercharger. Which should i go with the procharger with the intercooler or the vortech with the aftercooler, and will you be able to hear the whine of the supercharger
thanks chris

I have seen more people favor the procharger over a vortech.

procharger is badass. They give awesome gains. check out their website and look at the gains cars have recieved from the procharger on pump gas.

Procharger has a good whine to it but I think the sound of the turbo on a V8 is alot better. And the look on peoples faces is priceless.

depending on emissions a turbo setup might not be feasible due to relocation/deleting of cats and such, requiring deletion of AIR/EGR equipment as well

btw centrifugal superchargers don't whine, their sound is more closely resembling of a turbo than a roots style blower

procharger and vortec are both good brands just stay away from powerdyne

How much boost do you want to run? What does your bottom end have done to it? I would say procharger if a want an S/C but IMO turbo is awesome.
