Default 1.6 roller rocker install

just ordered a set of comp cam 1.6 self-align rockers and was just wondering if i can just bolt them straight on with no other modifications. any advice would be great.

If you search through the recent threads in this forum, you will find several threads basically asking the same question.

If you are stock, then No, you have to (at a very minimum) install LT4 springs. If you go with a larger cam or step up to 1.7 rr's, you need to upgrade the springs further still.

To phrase in different words: What you will be doing is increasing the lift of the valves (and hence the springs) by increasing the ratio from 1:5 to 1:6. Our springs were not designed for the increased lift, hence they will need to be upgraded to springs that are designed for the higher lift.
