Default easy question

car=95lt1 m6

mods=ewp, cai, catback, trifecta tune

the ?=i have a knock sensor code in my computer, if my sensor is bad, how much horsepower am i losing because of the bad sensor. Ive been told i might be losing 8 degrees of timing because of this bad sensor? Is that true?

That would depend on whether or not the computer is using max knock retard while the code is present. Not sure if they do that or not.

I accidently made a pass at the track once with my knock sensor unhooked. It cost me .7 and 9 mph.

probably throws the car into a limp mode since the pcm believes there is no knock sensor to protect the motor from detonation

It probably would take less time to replace the sensor than to type the question LOL
But yeah, pulling timing will cost you quite a bit of power.
