Default Battery cable?

I am relocating my battery to the trunk. What size should be my minimum size? I was thinkin 4 gauge would probably work, but I was thinkin 2 gauge should be what I go with.

Definitely go with at least 2-gauge cable. Make sure you grommet every hole the wire passes through.

Should I run the positive cable interior along the passenger side and under the door seal then down to the starter? And should I go from the starter to the distribution block that is on the fender? Can I go with 4 gauge there?

IMO, I'd pass the wire through the firewall. If you can, go with 2-gauge all around.

On the b-body the stock wires are 4 gauge and 3 feet long, if making them that much longer I would be looking at larger than 2 gauge, hell the new starter wire I just made to clear different headers was 2 gauge and under 4 feet long and I could tell a difference in cranking.

Looks like summit's kit uses 1 gauge, I'd use that if you can....

I used that same kit from summit and it works fine. I did have to get a bigger battery though. My 750 amp battery couldn't cut it so I put in a 1000 amp Optimum (red) and it works just fine. I know a few guys who have used 0 gauge welder cable but I don't think that's necessary with our small blocks.

Well i got the switch. I got the cable I got the battery. I think it needs to be seperated via a metal bulkhead. which I can make as well. and I also kinda remember something about using 3/8 bolts as hold downs. But the rest is a mystery
