Jake, have you considered the Cloyes double roller timing set? That is the "tightest" set I have used and would probably work fine on your engine. Off the top of my head I believe it's part number 9-3145. It's pretty inexpensive too. I have a brand new extra one here if you would like to try it without purchasing one first. I'd be glad to send it to you and if it works, just pay me then. If not, send it back to me. The only stipulation is that you must run an electric waterpump.

I would try that. I have the Cloyes double roller as well, and it was TIGHT when I installed it.

thanks guys and yeah from thunder racing they sell a larger crank sprocket thet takes up a little slack....

and jason short, thanks so much for that offer but my engine builder has a bunch of those on hand but just incase im gonna tell him that part number... and yeah guys dont take it the wrong way i just wanted to put my info in there as well cause honestly im not exactly bad in the garage either, i just havent had this situation pop up yet so you know how that goes.... i will keep yall posted on how everything goes and thank you so much for the replys!!!! jake
