Do ARP rod bolts require machine work?

Do ARP rod bolts require machine work? I just bought a new GM OEM 4-bolt main LT1 shortblock...and was going to upgrade rod bolts in it to ARP. Do the rods need machine work or can they just be put in and torqued? i have seen so many different responses that i don't know.
you have to diassemble the motor and resize the rods to do this.
if you are going through all that you should put a set of H-beam rods and forged pistons in there,just my opinion though!

Isn't it funny...new ARP rod bolts => rebuild with forged internals.
