Default LT-1 overheating

my lt-1 seems to be overheating. i think it might be the temp ga. but when i hit the gas the temp goes down rather fast. i dont think its actualy overheating because it have coolant in it and its not boiling. the only thing that gets me is that when u hit the gas it goes down fast. i was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem

Are you talking about the temp creeping up when idling? I have the same issue.

Pretty much 3 possible variables.

Thermostat may be stuck.
Fans may not be kicking on.
Heater core being blocked can cause excess heat.

Check to make sure your fans are kicking on first, there set pretty high from the factory, like 220-235 or something crazy, def install a manual fan switch.

well i dont have a heater core(prev owner bypassed it) i replaced the therm when i replaced the waterpump and i'm not sure about the fans kicking on as far as it turning on when the temp sensor says so but when i have the a/c on both of them are on and it still does it
