Default Dyno numbers 396LT1

My first attempt at getting my 396 engine dynod, cylinder wall #1 had a hole in it.

Second attempt and after new block and machine work here are my new engine dyno numbers.

This engine was dynod at Golen Engines (hudson, nh).

Specs:

396 LT1
Eagle Crank 3.875
Forged Aluminum Pistons
Hastings Rings
AFR 210 cc Race Ready heads 54cc
cam 6.XX , 6.XX lift
LT4 intake

est. C/R 12.5:1

let me know what you guys think, this was not the best pull but best power numbers.

Looks like a nice street/strip motor with nice torque/hp at usable rpms...I'd be curious as to the rwhp figures once its in a car...

From Golen's dyno to a normal chassis dyno you are looking at over 25% loss based on repeated comparisons I have seen in A4 b-bodies.

Even so, I'd be happy with 420 at the wheels... When in doubt, throw some nitrous to that

Time to update the sig

567 at the crank is not bad at all.
Let's see what she puts to the wheels.

Any hints on the cam duration? Lift doesn't mean a whole lot.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!

Car is a M6 with aluminum driveshaft and aluminum flywheel, i hope it only eats up 13% drivetrain loss.

As for cam specs its hydrolic roller and I was gonna keep specs a secret but here they are .600 .619 on the lift, also we had to fly cut the pistons. Valves wouldnt clear on the afr 210 heads.

Nice numbers. Was that dynoed with the lt4 intake on it and fuel injection? Are the heads box stock from AFR?
