Thank you slick. that was useful info. i'll put the o2's in 2morrow. I have no good tuners down here for ltx's, only lsx's, so i'll have to get a mail order tune. But i'm gonna hold off on the tune til i get my 58mm tb, 37# injectors, and 4.10's installed.

Just know that you really won't be able to run the car if you install the larger injectors before you get the tune. You'll run pig rich.

explicit, I have no professional answer for you but I know EXACTLY what you are talking about, I was thinking about it the other day actually. I just figured when its dark you see less and when you get on it, it seems like things pick up alot faster?? I know.....I know im weird

Were are you from? Some members on here could show you a qaulity place if you ask around.


Maybe theres somone from the forum on here that is good at tuning in your area and can help you.

Your depth perception changes at night.

There are big temps swings which affect how soft your tires are and the surface temp so it will spin easier.

You are running around in open loop mode more than likely pig rich so the colder IAT will make a bigger difference than on a well-tuned setup because you are so rich during the day. In the colder temps you can actually burn more of that excessive fuel than you usually are.

All things considered, I can see you "feeling" a big difference. As to how much of that is percieved, and how much is actual I can't tell you.

I would however, tie up your loose ends so to speak and get a good tune in there and you should feel much less of a difference.

Some cars run better when they're cold before tuning, because they are richer in open loop mode. After a tune that difference usually goes away, if your tuner knows what he is doing.
