what is the most compression i can run on pump gas 93 octain i in a 96 trans am

That is a very vague question that needs a lot of information to be able to answer correctly.
You have to realize the difference between static compression ratio (SCR) and the more important dynamic compression ratio (DCR) that takes into account valve events, not just combustion chamber size, gasket thickness and deck height, etc.
As far as SCR goes, I've seen up to 12.0:1 on 93 pump gas, but I don't recall the DCR.

mine is around 12:1 SCR haven't run it yet though, I've seen people run 12.5-8:1 SCR on 93 with LT1s

I am at 12:1 car runs ok, but it needs a dyno tune.

i run 11.5:1 compression. you should be ok.
