To keep the formula or buy a gto???
thats bullshit. first off, you dont have to buy heads, they are already good. stock shortblocks will hold 650whp all day, my last lsx car is still running at that power level, stock longblock with a turbo, so no putting money into the bottom end. Dont have to beef up the rear end, except bushings, so that is way cheaper. Tuning is cheaper in the long run if you buy the software and way easier. Reusable gaskets, NO LEAKS is a big advantage. Stock throttle body and intake are way better, coil on plug ignition needs NO upgrading, so thats cheaper than an opti or LTCC
Only thing the GTO needs to be fast is full exhaust and a tune, some tires, thats about it. For a LTx car to compete it would have to be a full bolt on car, at least a cam, rear end, tires, and it would still creak and rattle all over the road. I have also owned 3 LSx vehicles, and all have been over 500whp, i just wanted something a little different and i got a really good deal, or i wouldnt have gotten a LTx
Only get a Vette for a weekend car. They dont make very nice DDs and suck way worse in the snow than a F-body. C6 is better but might be out of your price range.
I'd say if you HAVE to have a GTO, keep the Bird too
