hooker shorties anyone running hooker shorties on 95 -97 lt1s best way to change gaskets while in car and best gasket or just throw away and get longtubes LOL

I have a set of hooker shorties as I need to stay emissions legal (socal). I like them alot, car is quicker at the track and sounds great in conjunction with my flowmaster cat back. I tossed the paper gaskets and went with a set from Mr. Gasket, bad idea they suck *****. Best way to swap out gaskets is to loosen y-pipe to header bolts then loosen header bolts enough to slip out the gasket(s). Reverse the order to install. I like to tighten header bolts from the middle working outward.
