Default Jegster Tq arm

Hey guys I wanted to ask some opinions about torque arm choice. I've got a brand new Jegster torque arm. I had read some good things about it in the past but recently I've been reading and I've found alot of people have been having problems with them. I liked that it was extremely short and that some people love them but now I'm starting to question them. I'm trying to decide if I should use a different one. I like the tunnel mounted ones from say UMI and Spohn but I don't think they would clear my duals. I really don't want a tranny mounted one because I feel that kinda defeats the purpose. Not only are they full length but they still mount to the trans. So I'm kind of torn between keeping the jegs one or trying something else. People have claimed the bolts rip through the body where the jegs one mounts. What are some other options? Do you guys think I should give it a shot since I already have it? I really wish I could use the tunnel mounted ones but like I said I don't think they would clear the true duals. Oh and another thing I was wondering about is if I should get an adjustable one? I don't know anything about what the pinion angle needs to be either. If you aren't familiar with the jegs one it's this one.

I've had one on my car for almost 3 years. its held up just fine for everything I've put it through.

it kinda transmits a bunch of road vibration in to the console (where the plate mounts to the body) and that part is annoying at times, but as far as the actual product? it seems like a good one to me, I've got the adjustable one too. bought the whole thing for I think $150 when it was 4 months old.

I have it too.. Just weld the plate down to the body. No need for stupid bolts.

I also don't want to drill all the holes in the body if I can help it. I started putting it in today but didn't get very far. I stopped to think if I really wanted to use it. Then I started reading things saying that people have ripped the bolts out of the body and that people were having problems with the pinion angle. Just don't know right now.

like mentioned before you could always weld it. I'd suggest contacting one of the sponsors here Umi, Bmr and see what they say..and sell the jegs ta.

I agree on the umi stuff, definately top notch. Unfortunately this stuff did not exist back in the day, so I went with the jegs tunnel mt. I do believe they were one of the first companies to offer it.

I agree on the UMI stuff I run some of their stuff, but because of the issue of running true duals I didn't think their tunnel mounted ones would clear the duals. But now I'm wondering if I can manipulate the duals and use a tunnel mounted one from UMI.

Im sure if you get it mounted right you won't have a problem with it. I got one as part of a package deal I got so I'm not complaining. I'm going to screw it to the body when i put it on and drive it straight to a shop to have it welded in the body.

2 of my friends have snapped UMI adj. tunnel mount torque arms, on cars that run high-7's in the 1/8th.
