valve spring question.. im doing a rebuild on my lt1 im about to order the cc503, got 1.6 rr, which is a set of good valve spring aint looking for top of the line. just a pair of good spring at a good price. thanks for the help
I recommend always changing over to a chromemoly hardened PR. They are relatively inexpensive and good security. Also, you will want to check for the correct pushrod length.

I would recommend you pick up the Crane 10308-1 Spring Kit. Those springs work very well with that cam and are a good amount cheaper than the Comp or PAC beehives. I have run both the Crane 10308-1's and PAC 1518 Beehives and both are good springs but the Crane's are sufficient for the cc503.

The Crane 10308-1 spring kit is actually a great kit as well. For what you need this would be your best bet.
While you are tearing into it during the cam swap I would recommend replacing the timing chain and sprokets. Maybe even go with some LS7 lifters as well.
