Default 4l60E question

I don't dick with autos much so I got a question for you guys. Will a 2wd 4l60e from a 5.7 van/ truck work in our cars? I don't see why not? Same torque converter, tail shaft, and all that correct?.... Something like this

Well if the 4L60E's used in '98+ trucks are identical to the 4L60E's that they started using in the '98+ cars (don't see why whey wouldn't be identical), then no, you cannot use them in your car, they will have a different input shaft, different bell housing orientation also I believe.

Yes it will work with a few mods. You will have to use your tail cone obviously. You will need a new servo, a Corvette servo will work great. You will also have to change the shifter linkage that goes inside the housing. Just the shaft that goes through the case. The trucks put the neutral safety switch on the side of the tranny and the f body puts them on the shifter. Its an easy five minute job to change the shaft with both trannies on a work bench. Theres a clip you have to pop off and a nut you have to back out then it just slides out with a little force.

Sorry for the long post.
