Default Fuel Pressure Help

Ok, so yesterday i was at cordova dragway in illinois, i ran my stock 95 Z28 A4, i netted a 16.1 the first run, and a 20.54 the next.....

the car pulls amazing up to 4500 rpm where it hits a brick wall, sputters, and loses all power. i changed the fuel filter today hoping it was clogged, which did help a little. but did not cure the problem.
I then decided to hook it up to a fuel pressure gauge, and at idle it was reading 21psi, and would drop with throttle. it will throw a code 55, which is fuel system running lean.

time for a fuel pump eh?

anybody know where i can get a good deal on a factory pump?

You would be best off to just put a Racetronix pump in it now. It's $149

i was thinking about that or a walbro 255.

does anyone know if a 3rd gen TPI pump will supply enough fuel for an LT1 car? i am able to get one under warranty, and its a high pressure pump for a fuel injected V8 car so would it work?

The Racetronix is a Walbro I believe.

The TPI pump will supply fuel plenty fine, i am worried about fitment. Heck, the V6 fuel injected pump in my car fed my L98 for a long time with no worries. The pumps themselves are rated much higher than the 40psi needed.

Yes it is. I'd get the Racetronix kit, it will likely support any future mods to your car.

Be sure and get a wiring harness also; the stock wiring is marginal for the stock pump, much less one with the higher power demands of the 255 Walbro. The Racetronix kit is a nice unit, and the wiring harness is second to none.
I got mine from Lonnie's Performance, and he provided excellent after-sales support.
