Over all best 3.73's, if you literally do not care about driving, then 4.10's. Most go with 3.73 in the auto.

I've got the 4l60E and recently installed 410s... and love 'em.

But my car is NOT a DD... It's primary function is best ETs on the 1/8th mile... with some light to light street fishing on the weekends.

So my goal was low end power, as is the case with the rest of my build.

If your car IS a DD... I'd suggest the 3.73s... I don't get on the Interstate much with the Z, but 70 Mph on OD is just under 3k... which works for me... But if you're commuting, it's likely that would get to be a tad expensive and the 3.73s would still give you plenty down low without being quite so hard on the big end.

If you drive it more on the road then track then 3.73 w/o a doubt. Awesome gear for the A4. Love mine made a world of difference over the 3.23.

It really depends on your cam, but if its mostly a track car go for the 4.10s!

For street duty 3.73 is a great gear for an A4.

had 3.73's on mine when it was A4. I'd say the perfect gear for a mild-moderate build w/ A4

I just recently installed 4.10s in my 94 A4 and I love them! Like stated above you will run about 2700-2800 on the highway at 70 mph, But I still got 22.5 mpg. And my parents live 4 hours away so i have had three tanks at that speed and distance and have stayed right around 22 mpg. Plus the gears really wake the car up! I have a cammed car so I wanted something just a little bit more and wow, they were a good choice! I dont mind the sound of my exhaust, so if its loud... Great! lol but i understand thats just me and some dont like that. Its up to you. I've rode in a 3.73 car and it still felt great.
