355 RPM question.... What would be the highest Ideal RPM for a stock crank/rods with Forged Speed pro pistons? PN# TRW-8KL2490F30 on summit.
I bought Elliott's94z's LE 223/230 109 cam setup and His heads aslo! Im thinking about stepping up the cam to a custom LE cam. Something in the range of 23x/23x .580 .580 109lsa. Also think about adding a Eagle 4340 crank and Scat stock replacement I-beam forged 4340 rods. What would the Highest Ideal RPM for that?

Ditch the Eagle crank idea and stick with the stock crank. With that set up assuming quality machine work, a properly balanced rotating assembly, and good rod bolts, I don't see why you couldn't spin up to 6800-7000rpm. But your ideal shifting point will be determined by your cam's peak power.
Also any gain with 6" rods?

Keep the stock crank. Have it cleaned up and balanced with the rest of the rotating assembly. The 230/234 .592/.592 109-110 LSA - 2200-6400 RPM would be a good cam although you could spin higher obviously. So what are you going to do with the camshaft you bought from me? Have a buyer for it?

Got ya..keep in mind if you up the camshaft you will have to get different valve springs put on them heads. You would need to contact Lloyd and have him swap on the Patriot Gold Extremes.

Yeah, I didnt think he'd be even close to 7. I was just wondering the potential of the stock mains with good ARP hardware. Do you think it will be able to even take 6400-6500?
I believe having main studs makes spinning higher alot safer. I have almost the same setup you're talking about but I have the eagle 5140 rods. I plan to shift at about 6800-7000. Got a hefty cam though. But with good rod bolts spinning high shouldn't be an issue. My builder who's place has been around for like 50 years said it won't be a problem and could handle more than 600hp with nitrous no prob. As far as the cams you see on Lloyd's site...don't necessarily try to pick one of those just call him and tell him exactly what you want out of the car and he'll fix you right up.
Ok cool I was just wondering becasue I would like to have peace-of-mind knowing a bolt on/cam car will be able to take the revs needed to have a sufficient a powerband without spinning a bearing. Sooo, the question is are the ARP main studs that much better than just the ARP main bolts? What require less modifications with the windage tray and oil pickup?

What will have to be done to run 4 bolt mains?
Unless you plan on running an insane amount of nitrous the 4 bolt setup will be a waste of money. JMHO. When was the last time you heard of anyone having a 2 bolt issue in a street car? It's like breaking a rod, yeah it happens but very rarely and usually with a crazy setup. As far as cost I really don't know.
