Default Vacuum question?

Alright, the pcv line from the valve cover to the throttle body, probably a 3/8 line or so, has a crack starting in it and is old and poopy in general. Would it cause an issue running if this was cracked and pulling air? Is it manifold vacuum or just there to pull crankcase vapor in and re burn it for emissions? basically, could a mis I have developed be because of this vacuum hose or likely another one somewhere else? The mis is very intermittent and light...barely noticeable unless cruising at like 1200 rpms under light load...hill climb or something. So if it is a vacuum line, it is probably a very slight leak right now.

If that hose were damaged it wouldn't cause any type of miss. People completely remove it without issues.

That's kind of what I thought...just thought I would ask.
