Default Tuning software vs. scan tool ability to read engine management info...

Alright, last question thread of the day...I promise. I just don't get days off work very often and when I do I try and slam out as much work on the 'ol bird as possible :-p Anyway, I was just curious if the software for tuning chipped f-bodies has the ability to read throttle position, MAP, IAC, Wheel speed, O2, etc. counts/tables/etc.? Basically, I need a scan tool, or something equivalent, to diagnose problems on my car from time to time and would also like to do my own dyno tuning at the local dyno. Can both be done on the laptop with software or is the software for tuning just reading engine management tables and adjusting them and not capable of reading the computer's other sensors, etc?

I dont know of any LTx software that scans and tunes for you. I use Autotap for a scanner and LT1edit to modify the tune.
