Default Cowl induction?

Anybody have a cowl induction setup on their 4th gen? I have a 4" glasstek cowl hood on my car and was think about fabricating a cold air intake that could take advantage of the cowl hood. Has anybody done anything like this?

I don't see the need to do that. Stick with the tried and true LS1 lid swap or LT1 CAI and you'll get plenty of cold air and the cowl hood can serve as a good heat extractor.

Love the aviator btw!

The 4in hood will give you some underside clearance to use a 'taller' system or a front induction as opposed to in the fender. Most go with the LS1 style conversion. Ive got something similar to that but am about to put it back into the fender (stock location) using a custom made setup similar to what Taner used to have on his car.

I think his name is LS1 Speed, hes with SpeedInc I think. Anyway he's got an LT1 car with a killer CAI setup that looks like it would work awesome, just ALOT of work. Look'em up.
