Default lt1 idle problem

i have 95 trans am and when i start the car after not driving it for a couple of hours it does not want to hold idle so i press the gas to about 2500 rpms for about 30 seconds then it will hold the idle if i dont press the gas the car cuts off. what do you think the problem is?

Could be a bad IAC. I had that problem. The car wouldnt idle when cold but would idle when warmed up.
