383 Build injector Question

Question 383 Build injector Question

As the title has it, i am trying to determin what size injectors I need for my build . Here is what I have: 94 383 just finshed the build and installed in the Z. The bottom end is a Scat forged with 6" rods and splayed caps, the heads are factory which are ported with 5 angle valve job, intake is factory ported and port matched, 58mm BBK throttle body, custom grind aggresive cam, 1.6 crain gold rr Holly adjustable FPR, K&N cold air intake system with aftermarket elbow, dynatech long tube headers with full 3" exhaust, backed with a T56 and 11.0:1compression ratio (I think that is it??). So far I have had some tell me to stick with 30#and others tell me go for a 36# injector. I do not want to go too big if it is not needed due to running it to rich. Any assistance with this would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Not knowing how big your cam is, I'd go with 42# and a good tune.
You won't run rich being "too big" if it's tuned properly.
(It was more than enough for my 383)

If you were planning on trying to skimp by on a stock tune ... you're likely about to learn an expensive lesson or two the hard way.

Thank you for the imput. I am actually going to have the Z dyno tuned after I recieve my new injectors. The tuner told me I should be good with 30# injectors and Bessel Motorsports (who I bought my stroker Kit from) told me to stick with 34-36# injectors. Right now the car has been sitting in my driveway with 24# factory injectors in it. Don't worry, I have not been driving it. I thought about the injectors fortunatly right after I started it for the first time. It did not like the 24lbers. Thank you

I would go with 42#ers as well.I have them in my 383 and they work great.If you have less power they can be tuned for that

42lb's tuned right would be on the safe side.. Plus theres more room for expansion in the future
