best way to test an injector is lift the fuel rail and turn the key to the on position, if any fuel leaks out, leaky injector

Sounds like there is no spark or a very weak spark on that plug. Have you thought about wire/opti?

the spark is strong and we tested it using an inline spark tester. too much gas to the cylinder is killing the spark. trimming the fuel for cylinder down seemed to work. i need to buy the valve cover oil plug that somehow blew off and is throwing the trims out of wack again so i can confirm that the problem has gotten much better.

okay got a new oil filler cap. decided to log the car and problem fixed!!!! split blms gone. now both banks are really close to eachother. just need to lean out cylinder 7 1% more to be spot on. both cylinder banks are lean at idle though but i think it's because i advanced timing across the board. i like running speed density tunes better so ill just fix that through some ve tuning.

good you found the reason of the problem.

how do you trim fuel for that particular cylinder?

i thought when you adjust fuel you adjust it for the whole 8 cylinders not for each? like PE tables and VE tables?

what do you use for tuning JET performance software or LT1edit?

thanks.

good to know. do you know if such a table is available in LT1edit or the JET software for LT1 cars?

I've never dealt with those so I'm not sure. I believe the Jet software was created by tuner cats so that one may have it.
